From the Principal’s Desk

Dear Parents / Guardians:

Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year! As we prepare to begin another yearlong journey together at Paramus High School, it is my honor to send you this introductory letter as your dedicated principal. As a community, we remain committed to preparing every student for their lives beyond high school. Our goal is to challenge our students to exceed their own academic expectations while simultaneously creating individual road maps for them to follow at the conclusion of their four years at PHS.

There is nothing more exciting right now at PHS than our Chromebook initiative. As leaders in the field of education, we value the connection between technology, subject specific learning, and overall student connectivity to the global community; that is why our commitment to instructional technology is paramount. Please note that the integration of Chromebooks comes along with an inherent connection to Google, which specifically includes Drive, Apps, Mail, and Classroom. Students and staff will be utilizing these features on a regular basis as our teaching and learning practices develop and grow.

I urge you to proactively connect with the school as an integral member of the learning community. Let’s take pride in our ability to work together as we exemplify the ethos of #FamilyFirst! Please attend our back to school night on Thursday, September 14 at 7:00 p.m. to make those important connections with your child’s teachers and school counselor. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me directly. Thank you in advance and enjoy the rest of your summer.

Sincerely,

Raymond J. Kiem
