Get Out & Run

The Terri Roemer Paramus Run flyer

Since 1979, runners and walkers have been coming to Paramus on the third Sunday in October to enjoy the beautiful fall weather, participate in one of the most runner-focused events of the year, and help young people succeed through the Paramus Scholarship Fund. The Paramus Run was the brainchild of Terri Roemer, who founded the event along with Marty Roemer, Lou Lanzalotto, and others. Their early contributions paved the way for the success of this great community event. In 2005, the run was named in honor of Terri Roemer. To date, the run has awarded almost $900,000 in scholarships to more than 750 deserving Paramus students. Since 2022, the run has partnered with the Valley Hospital Auxiliary. The VHA supports specialized programs for seriously ill children. In addition to the scholarships awarded, the run has provided $80,000 in support to VHA programs. This year will be the 47th annual event and will take place on Sunday, October 18. We encourage all to participate as a runner, walker, volunteer, or spectator and be a part of this great community event.
